Andy Lock lives far away from his Dorset roots in the Highlands of Scotland's West Coast. His love of the highlands began as a child and he is still captivated by its stunning landscape of lochs and mountains providing inspiration for much of his work. Andy studied at Southampton College of Art in England, providing his first introduction to photography and film. This led him on a path of graphic design and print, while still providing an opportunity to enjoy the challenges of nature through his landscape photography.

Andy launched changinglight in 2005 and come rain or shine his 1966 VW Split Screen Camper Van takes him into the depths of the highlands, shooting just some of the artistic images shared on this website. His images are now enjoyed around the world and recognized by publishers and art critics, a true reward for his meticulous attention to detail and true compassion for nature and his surroundings.
